A variety of forms pulling inspiration and ideas from a number of periods and localities. Many utilize rope details to mirror rigging and mooring of ancient ships to add further detail and suggest a history at sea.

VOYAGES

  • An elegant form created with the vision of belonging to a ship captain, emphasizing his wealth and status.

  • A slender, lidded form based on the Grecian vessel for storing luxurious grooming oils and perfumes.

  • A form celebrating sunlight in many forms. Carved details on the lid and handles are framed by golden rope.

A collection of forms rooted in rich history of cultures past, all turned and carved from the same Box Elder tree sourced in Spokane, WA. Each form is lightly torched and further colored with a soot paint derived from the offcuts and shavings of the vessels themselves.

EMERGENCE
